8 May 2008On Friday Riley finished her antibodic, the ear infection is gone and the cough is rare. All was good until Tuesday night. We noticed guck her in eye again. On Wednesday, Dad took her back to the doctor. Turns out her ear infection is back (or never was really gone) and she has an eye infection again.
The doctor said the antibodic probably didn’t kill the infection, so he prescribe a different one. Riley is back on a new antobodic and eye drops. She will be on both for 7 days.
While we were at the doctor, he checked her lungs and the infection is not in her chest like it was two weeks ago. We caught it this time.
By Wednesday her eyes we much better. Hopefully this will be the end the eye and ear infections.

Mom & Dad - Having had a lot of experience with eye infections in newborns, you might want them to check into the state of her tear ducts. My first born’s were closed off and ended up with serious eye infections that resulted in hospital stays. The procedure to probe the tear duct was fairly simple. It two times to work but it finally stopped eye infections that could have been really bad. Just food for thought. Carole
